So we're dashing off to Jeonju today. This requires an overland train called the KTX which is the equivalent of the Japanese Shinkansen.

We got to stay in an old timey home.
Turns out the youth market (where we visited many years ago) is closed on Mondays in Jeonju.
Constant rain puts a damper on our moods. The place is very beautiful and "old-timely”, and I can imagine it'll be an amazing place to visit in pretty much any other season.

In the completely empty, dark and scary market, there also lived a puppet of a Santa Claus, suspended by a rope, so he looks like a silhouette of someone who handed himself. Steph was super shocked-scared when she saw it. Of course, when I first came across the fearsome scene my eyebrows only raised slightly.
We tried to find some "hangover” soup in the Namba market, specifically a shop we ate at years ago while on tour here with Daniel Gray. We couldn't find it because the place was a maze.
Later that evening we ate at a soup place, but also had some nice desserts after at Grandma's Best.

Old timey roads!

Old timey shops!

Jeonju is the home of bibimbap, and they serve it in these brass bowls.

The close up.

Markets are packed. He's a furniture store that's top to bottom just furniture.

All the trees have hand knitted sleeves so they can stay warm.

Here's another one.

Jeonju has that small town feel.

Kakao friends tries their best to compete with LINE friends.

They look really similar though.

Here's a random restaurant we found that had a really entrance.

Here's an upside down photo of us for some stupid technical hardware reason.

And a sideways one just to round it off.

The heated flooring is a lifesaver! As are the shake-y heat packs. We are defrosting here.

Ahhhh warm floors.

Here's a safe looking image of Steph walking alone in the dark.

It's the Kyoto of South Korea!

Soup that evening. It was pretty good, but not as good as tomorrow's soup. Read on!
