Steph had a makeup Airbnb experience so we met up with her host in a cool coworking space near Hongik university. We made it just in time! The host was really nice and turns out Steph's making up skills were already pretty solid.
Next was the photo tour at the Gyeongbok Palace. We met up with the hosts for this experience and made it just in time. Our hosts, Chan and Jason, helped us pick and choose the hanbok, Korean traditional clothes, for the shoot.
Unfortunately, I had the most stylish of Nike kicks, as you can see in some of the photos, which is slightly at odds with traditional Korean royal wear.
As unfortunately, it was super super cold. Makes it hard to pose with photos. I think my face was frozen and couldn't move after awhile. Which is good, because traditionally you're not meant to smile or show emotions!
We had some hot packs which saved our lives. They're really cool, these shake-y bags that heat up and last for an entire day! All in all, a great day.
Getting ready for the cosplaaaay!

Wistfully thinking about the future of the kingdom.

"Oh crap, did I leave the stove on?”

A great art installation, perhaps expressing the surveillance culture of the modern government?

Eating Japanese food in Seoul. The panko were really... fine and thin. Pretty good!

Red velvet drink. Perhaps related to the group Red Velvet? It was good, and actually not that sweet, which is a nice surprise (these drinks are always sickeningly sweet).
We went back to the hotel and I had a super quick 15 minute nap, after which I took a bus to Gangnam to meet a friend and also have a business meeting at Fourteen Marketing.

We ate some famous black pork (apparently) from Jeju island. In the end it tasted like pork (!) but still great.
