After the pure hell that was yesterday, today we mostly just stayed inside and became hermits.
In the evening, we finally gained enough energy to go outside. We went shrimp fishing!
Kind of in the middle of nowhere. We had to take a train then a bus out to the industrial seafood area.

Over in Taipei's fish market area you can catch shrimp in a big (and disgusting) pool, and cook it yourself.

Steph focuses hard on the floater thing that tells you when the shrimp has bit onto your bait.

We had one hour, Steph caught 5 (the last one on the 60th minute no less) and I caught 3.

Our loot!

Step 1 is to impales the shrimp up their butts all the way through.

Chuck em in the oven...

Eat em. ® Our shrimping teacher was great, he didn't even bother talking, he just mimed all of the actions without saying a word in any language.
